Tekoha - Fair Trade of Artscraft professional low income Brazilian Communities
TEKOHA is a social enterprise that contributes to generate revenue for low income communities in Brazil. The organization guarantees fair distribution channels to sell communities’ handcrafts. It aims not only to sell their products, but to connect these communities in a large network that they can access more resources and contacts to improve their production, design and management. It works as a core team of market intelligence for low income communities. Since TEKOHA works for a network of communities (scale), it can have an excellent and effective service with a low cost. The network has eleven communities from different regions of the country and in 2007 has generated more than U$12.000 for seven communities. |
